A few important things as we get ready for Simchat Torah morning:
Hakafot starts at 9 am – A space for us to be present with our feelings: joy or pain, memory, love, dance, and hope - despite everything and because of everything, We Will Dance Again.
Here’s our playlist.
Spread the word – we’ll be at the Geulim School Hall & Yard, 4 Kibbutz Galuyot Street, Baka — so your friends don’t end up looking for us somewhere else…
Bring food and drinks for the Kiddush to share with everyone. We’ll sit outdoors picnic-style. Also please also bring water — we’ll be dancing outside
Special Torah Aliyah for children. Also, when we open the Torah scroll, the kids are invited to sit inside the circle, literally surrounded by Torah.
For the Torah unrolling, please bring light scarves to hold the parchment (we don’t touch it with bare hands).
There will be a Yizkor memorial and the Prayer for Rain, and for those who wish – also Musaf at the end.
We’re happy and honored to celebrate with our beloved friends:
Chatan Torah: Dov Wider
Kallat Bereshit : our teacher Yisca Smith
Children’s Aliyah: Leah and Meir Klivanov-Ron
