Say goodbye to Or Sendrowitz and warmly welcome Laurence Berman as our new Community Coordinator
Many thanks to Or, who worked behind the scenes at Nava Tehila for 10 years. Or is leaving to focus on her main calling as a doula. We wish her great success and thank her deeply.
We are happy to welcome our new Community Coordinator, Laurence Berman, a Baqa resident with extensive experience and an all-around wonderful person.
Come to this coming Kabbalat Shabbat to meet Laurence.
Kabbalat Shabbat Dates for This Year – Save the Dates
We are happy to share all the dates for this year’s Kabbalat Shabbat services. Save the dates!
January 30, February 20, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 12, July 10, August 7
Over the coming months, toward the second half of 2026, we will be able to share with you Nava Tehila’s exciting succession plan. We have already begun with a transition in musical leadership, and we are so encouraged by how beautifully this is unfolding, both in Jerusalem and in our growing tours abroad.
Alongside this growth and renewal, I want to share honestly that we are facing some financial challenges. A foundation that has supported us annually with $10,000 was unable to renew its grant this year, as the needs in Israel have become so overwhelming. We only recently learned this, and while we are steadily working to broaden our support base and strengthen our organizational structure, we are currently in need of grassroots support to cover our basic expenses in the coming months.
I am therefore turning to you, our community of friends and partners. If you are able to make an end-of-year gift, at any level that feels right to you, your support will make an immediate and tangible difference. A donation today will help us sustain our core activities, support our musicians and prayer leaders, and ensure that Nava Tehila can continue offering spaces of depth, song, and connection in Jerusalem and beyond.
I am sending this appeal on the eighth day of Hanukkah, with hope in my heart that together we can keep this light burning strong. Thank you for standing with us, and for believing in the power of prayer, music, and community.
If you need a Bank transfer in Israel:

If you donated via bank transfer, please email us so we can identify the donation and send a receipt.
With deep gratitude and blessings for light and peace,
Rabbi Ruth
