As discussed, we are looking forward to associate with up to 4 students from IIT Madras for an entrepreneurial role in our ongoing business initiative.
We are building a team of dedicated, talented and creative team members who have the ideas and energy to sell a novel ‘Concept’ to the maritime industry leadership. We shall provide ready access to the support needed for achieving the milestones. He or she will need to develop and execute a plan of action - a road map for bringing sustained and increasing revenue streams.

i-maritime Consultancy Private Limited is India’s leading marine consultancy services provider and has been providing strategic/technical advisory and research service offerings to clientele of Ports & Shipping sector since 1993. Having executed 500+ projects in the Indian marine sector; i-maritime acknowledges the need of a centralized database for meeting the updated and relevant information requirements of all stakeholders with interest in the Indian maritime sector.
To facilitate in easy information exchange amongst the “Decision Makers” and the “Management Executives”; the company is in process of launching a centralized Knowledge Portal exclusively for stakeholders with interest in Indian Maritime sector. The portal shall focus on Ports, Shipping, Container Logistics and Ship Yards of India.
The online platform - i-maritime Success Lab - shall operate as ‘Information Provider’ and as ‘Transactions Enabler’. As an ‘Information Provider” paid subscriptions will be given for accessing database with content comprising of Statistics, Contacts, News, Capital Expenditure Project Profiles, Company Profiles, Presentations, Business Development/ Tender profiles, Government Policies/Regulatory Notifications and case studies on projects executed by i-maritime. This shall involve collection, validation, analysis and management of a range of maritime sector data to facilitate in decision making of the major stakeholders. Sustained efforts towards data and product enhancements shall be put to meet up to the requirements of the ever evolving business environment.
As a “Transactions Enabler”, service offerings via the online platform shall include E-Procurement, Ship-Breaking, Ship-Broking and Chartering. Ship Broking segment shall include services provided to ship owners and charterers in the transportation of different types of cargoes by sea. The online platform shall also include services provided to buyers and sellers/shipyards relating to sale and purchase transactions of marine assets.
Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for innovative thinkers who come with a risk-taking appetite and can demonstrate tenacity in their attitude. The assignment shall provide a hands on experience in the niche sectors of Infrastructure (Marine), Container Logistics, Shipping and Ship Building. An opportunity to interact with the Promoter(s), Business Heads and senior Management of all stakeholders of the maritime sector shall add to the learning curve of the members. This shall include one-to one discussions with decision makers of the leading firms from Financial Services (incl. insurance), Construction companies, Logistics Service Providers, Original Equipment Manufacturers and many more other than the core players in the target sectors of India.
Roles will be in one of the following functions:
1. Technology Management
2. Content Management
3. Sales
4. Marketing
Selected students shall be offered significant equity stake in the business venture. They shall be expected to own the venture as ‘Partner(s)’ and will have to deliver irrespective of the challenges being faced by an entrepreneur.
