G'day all, Well the boats around Sydney way are getting a real workout
of late. We sail twice a week for about 3 hours each time. The boats
and the gear are getting a lot of use . It seems that the booms are
copping the biggest hiding at the present . My main boom is showing
signs of stress and so is the jib boom. I noticed a few other boats
are having similar things. I think I will have to go for a round
section booms , something with a bit of wall thickness to it ?

We all use a Skysport Futaba radio transmitters and we have found
that they break in the rudder stick. What it is , is the sticks
centralizing spring comes adrift from its anchor pin(made of plastic)
breaks off in the transmitter. It can be fixed by screwing a small
screw into where the pin was and attaching the spring end to the
screw.
