The rudder which was named "Razor Rudder" (not my terminology) has now
been destroyed. Under Section 1 - Hulls and Decks it is stated "Any
alteration of the hull or deck and rudder by cutting, drilling,
sanding or filling with any material the change the contours in anyway
except painting will be refused a rating certificate".

Therefore all rudders that are produced from the Nautic 12 official
rudder mould must not be altered in anyway, shape or form.

I apologise for this mistake and I hope this statement rectifies and
stops all the controversy. I was only trying to improve the
performance of the rudder due to your complaints but obviously that
was the wrong thing to do.

The term razor rudder came from Starboard on seen the rudder for the
first time.
Improvement is never wrong Neville, the only thing wrong about the
whole subject
was the reception it recieved from certian people.

Nev, im dissapointed that you have destroyed the mould as i think you were on the right track. The rudder was one area that needed improving and the only way to do this was to trial it against existing ones unfortunately before you could do this it was made public. I know if you had your way you would not have said any thing until you were certain that it was  an improvement to the class then you would have notified all owners to see what they thought. Keep up the good work Nev.
