I downloaded a song from the i-store but now I cannot set it up as my ringtone, how do I now format the song as ringtone before I can set as my ringtone? There is no option to format as ringtone and I am really very much interested to put it as my ringtone. Please advice

From the player screen when I select "Artist" it takes me to a screen with all songs by the Artist, instead this should take the screen which shows All Albums by the artist. Is there a way to do that? If not, could that be added as a feature request?

No, the Player screen long-press options are meant to show you all of the songs in the chosen category (so Artist shows you all of songs by the currently playing Artist, Album shows all of the songs in the currently playing Album, and Folder shows all of the songs in the currently playing Folder).

Since the Artist page has an option to show all songs from the artist, I think it makes more sense that long-press option on Player screen goes to Artist page so that I can select different album from the artist or just select "all songs". Also, why is there is a limitation on the number of pictures that are displayed when changing artist picture or album picture? I would love to see this option modified to include more results and also and option to do custom search (checkout how PlayerPro does it).

The whole point of that feature in the Player screen menu is to show the currently playing song, but within a different category view (i.e. within a folder, an album, or the artist's other songs). Thus it has to go to a songs list rather than a higher album/etc view. If you want to go up another level though, just tap the Back button.

Hey, I found another thread that has the "bang on the drum all day" song, the horn, and the ding-ding-ding for messages on it. Someone has also combined the song & horn in one, and it looks like they are free and available in iphone and other versions. Enjoy!!

Oops, my bad, I thought I had included it. Here's the first one I found, with the Bang on the Drum song, the horn, and even the older New Ship Smell one. I'm still trying to find the one with the song combined.

To set a song as your ringtone it needs to saved in your Files app or must be purchased and downloaded on your phone. You can't use songs that you just have saved on Apple Music or another streaming service such as Spotify.

The easiest way to do this is to pick out your favorite song and save it to files using an mp3 converter or buy it in the iTunes Store. Then you'll have to create a loop of that song in GarageBand and export it as a ringtone. Don't worry, the process is quite easy, and we'll talk you through the steps.

First, download the song you'd like and save it to your iPhone. The easiest way to do this is probably by downloading the song you'd like from YouTube, and converting that to an mp3. Click the link above if you need help with that.

@Mai Davika I really like the song Sound and Vision by David Bowie as my ringtone, it can ring for the full 30 seconds for an incoming call and never quite get to the point where Bowie starts singing.

My personal requirement is that it can't have any lyrics/vocals, I only like ringtones that are purely instrumental. I change mine relatively frequently (once or twice a year, which is rather frequent for a ringtone.) Currently it is the start of "Hot air balloon" by Owl City. It has a nice subtle start that builds later.

I have a classic bell ringtone that I use. it came with my phone, and I really like it (when it rings). My trouble is, my dad has the same ring tone on his phone, so I always have to check my phone if he gets a call.

Or, also by Sam Baker, the hauntingly beautiful instrumental "Slivered Moon" off of his latest album Land of Doubt (there's no link to listen to it on his website, but it's an amazingly beautiful song)

If anyone has android (you can use this for apple but its significantly worse..not worth it in my honest opinion) There is an app called Zedge. It is free, and has thousands of thousands of ringtones, alerts, ect. You can save the tone to your phone, or simply "apply" the tone as whatever you want (ringtone, notification) and the phone will use the app for the file.

I've been changing my ringtone only a few times during the past years. For a long time (my Supernatural era) it was "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas, then, five years ago, I changed it to "Negro y azul" from Breaking Bad, and sometime since fall 2016, when I feel head over heels into Star Trek, I switched to the Opening Theme of Star Trek: The Voyage Home.

Every Galaxy phone or tablet comes with default ringtones, although the ones available may differ depending on your carrier. Pick a ringtone that suits you or select a song file you have stored on your device.

If you would like your phone to vibrate when your ringtone sounds, tap Vibrate while ringing from the Ringtone settings screen. From here, select Sync with ringtone, and then tap Back. Tap the switch next to Vibrate while ringing to turn it on.

I can't save segment of song as AAC in order to use as ringtone. Stuck at that stage. I am using iTunes 12.1.0.05. There seem to be solutions for earlier iTunes versions. I've edited song to be 30 seconds.

This tutorial is about how to get ringtones on your iPhone. The narrator starts out by showing us how to use an app called Garageband to load ringtones. He demonstrates how to load the application, then open the file to search for a song that you wish to download. He clicks on the song and drags it to the import window. Once the song is there, create a cycle region by clicking the icon along the bottom of the screen to turn the cycle region on. Next, he shows how to use the yellow bar across the top to set the ringtone for 30 to 40 seconds. Next, click on share then send ringtones to iTunes. Once it appears on iTunes, you can sync your iPhone and it will be on your phone.
