Context: I prefer to run the repl in my terminal, or in a terminal in vim so that I can use it as a target for vim-slime. This works well except for the colors, which I prefer to disable since I only care about the outputs and the colors add a lot of noise (for my eyes--please don't turn this into an argument about the merits of colorschemes). I am invoking with /Applications/Racket v8.11.1/bin/racket and it appears there aren't any relevant command line switches for color.
The Guile version of Goblins has been updated to be able to speakOCapN, finally allowing Guile usersto be able to easily make awesome object-capability-securepeer-to-peer programs!What's more, the Guile and Racket versions of goblin-chat have beenupdated to be able to talk to each other over the network!
Here we see a small demo end-to-end encrypted, peer-to-peer chatprogram written in Goblins called goblin-chat.goblin-chat was written originally as a demo project forGoblins v0.7(over two years ago!) but is still impressive for what it delivers:both the core code for users and for chatrooms totals onlyapproximately 150 single lines of code (with no mention of the networkin the core code needed; Goblins provides a network abstration such thatsuch functionality is automatic once the program is connected toOCapN).
The power provided by Goblins' core integration with OCapN being shownoff deserves underlining: thanks to the power of OCapN, once the Guileversion of goblin-chat was ported (and Racket and Guile OCapNinteroperability was hammered out more generally), the Racket andGuile versions of goblin-chat communicating with each otherjust worked!
A number of players - most recently Andy Murray in March - have complained that grunting confers an unfair advantage. The argument goes that at best, grunting is distracting, and at worst, it masks the noise that the ball makes when it comes into contact with the racket, which is a potentially useful source of information about the speed and trajectory of the shot. But is there any truth in it?
We are only only just beginning to understand the role that grunting makes in sports like tennis. While these are preliminary studies, they raise interesting questions about whether they should be classed as cheating, or are a legitimate way for players to improve their game. One thing is for certain, though: when it comes to grunting, some players will carry on making a racket.
I need to make some changes to the front-end of RocketChat. I've done a manual install on Ubuntu 16.04 and am new to the JS ecosystem. Simply editing files (such as programs/server/packages/rocketchat_lib.js) and redoing npm install doesn't seem to work.
If you need some heavier changes like changing JS, menus and doing full customization you will have to build your own custom rocket.chat. It uses Meteor framework. You can find some guides here and talk to people on the rocket.chat demo server channel learn
Most* use of color in Rocket.Chat can be customised by changing color settings under Administration > Layout > Colors
Also you can use own CSS styles and so on in under Administration > Layout
Editing Rocket.chat files directly is bad way how to do it.
The investigative journalists who broke the Rosselló story have not depicted the group-chat as part of such a fake-news dissemination racket. But various exchanges within the leaked text do give the impression the group played fast and loose with public perception using digital tools.
