Since the latest ongoing maintenance, we can not connect with our server nickname. I guess this is related since the IP was also deleted in myteamspeak, but I added it back and still no function. Yes, it was used daily so it does not expire.
I can probably do that on the weekend but I need to remove critical date first.
but I think you will not see anything. I tried to restor my ts3 server by copying the old files from friday and removed the files from monday.
In the mean time. Could it be that the userscript for my sheduled restart doesn't savely powerdown the server?
It is this one:
The folders for the channels are still there but the server can't read them. I now did rebuild the server again and there are now 60 channels in "\appdata\binhex-teamspeak\sql\files\virtualserver_1" I have acctualy 30 channels on my server. Teamspeak was only able to read the icons.
What do I need to do to backup my ts3 server and what do I need to do to restore it?
Right now I just made a copy of the "binhex-teamspeak" folder in \appdata. But simply change the new files and replace them with the old ones doesn't work.
I managed to force update to 3.12.1 by forcing the repository address to "binhex/arch-teamspeak:3.12.1-1-01", but as soon as I replace it to "binhex/arch-teamspeak" it rolls back to pulling "latest" 3.11.1. And while I could leave the force 3.12 address repository, it's not ideal because the check for update won't find future versions.
I've triggered a rebuild of the image to ensure that latest is indeed the latest version available please pull down the image again with tag 'latest'

I have been running your TS3 container for few years now. Thanks for all the work you put in your containers. One problem persists that i havent been able to solve on my own. Every now and then bot/hacker enters my server and all clients get timed out. Im connected to docker local addres and i get timed out as well. I guess bot is somehow overloading my container. I have researched limitations from ts server side to prevent this. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas how to prevent this from happening again?
keeping it open and stopping hackers/bots is not possible afaik without implementing strict ip rules, which will be harder to manage than a password, best to just use a password and tell your friends what it is, the connecting clients can save the password so they will only need to enter it once.
This is obviously super late to the party but I came across the exact same issue (locked out of my own TS server admin group after formatting my PC and no way to find the ServerQuery password). Recreating the entire server configuration and channels was not an option, so I found a solution on my own and thought I'd share it here in case someone needs it later.
I have also posted in the engine section, as i believe it is more related to the docker engine than the docker itsself. but figured i would 'double' post it here too incase it IS related to the docker.
it doesnt look that way from that screenshot, its stopped and thus 'but if there is no ip assigned (host, bridge or manual) its obviously unreachable.' is expected, especially as this container uses 'Host' network and thus no port mappings will be shown.
ok so firstly you MUST set 'Network Type' to host, it cannot be bridge, or custom or anything else, just host, i see from your screenshot you have set it to 'Custom : br0' this is not correct, set back to Host.
That i can't assign port mapping i am aware, because its using the ports provided in the config file for the docker. But it should still read that from the port mappings field, which it did previously.
ok so the ports arent defined as exposed, so arent showing up in the unraid web ui, but they are still open, i would double check your teamspeak client and ensure its set correctly, i dont believe the issue is to do with the fact the ip and port is not shown in the unraid web ui.
Yep! Ever since iOS 16 it has been very buggy in the sense that if anything changes, you only get robotic input/output. Change from speakers to headphones or vice versa, getting a call, an alarm going off etc. It was annoying, but since it was fixable by restarting the app it was usable.
@TS.ChrisR 9/10 problems are fixed. I only got robotic voice when i came back from running (was on teamspeak with AirPods), and came in the car and iPhone connected to the car. Then I clicked active speaker and deactivate speaker and sound got fixed.
Yes. Somehow, there was a timespan where it appeared less after turning everything off. But not 100% sure.
After i turned off remove background noices my mate heared it less. But then i turned it on again and he still heared it less. So it was kinda weird.
No matter if sender is on 3.3.2 or 3.5.6 or 3.6.0, as long i as the listener use 3.6.0 i can hear a chirp nearly all the time at the end of transmission or start when end and start are near to each other.
Nice that apparently something was found. Unfortunately, the whole does not coincide with my experience. A few days ago I had with a mate also the sound issues described here. It sounded exactly like in Bluestar his recording. I asked my mate if he changed anything in his sound settings. He said he had not changed anything except installed the new ts3 update 3.6.0. As soon as he spoke, it sounded like he was extremely loud for a fraction of a second. Literally like a crackle. He then immediately downgraded to 3.5.6 and the problem was gone. We suspected after successful testing with 3.5.6 that the AGC was changed in 3.6.0. After we tested this again with 3.6.0 on his side and without any AGC, this theory proved to be wrong. No matter what he configured, the sound problem persisted. As soon as he switched back to 3.5.6 everything was great again.
A few days ago, someone else who also uses the same teamspeak 3 server reported that his mate also has such sound problems for a few days. When I asked if his mate had updated to 3.6.0, he said yes. After his mate switched back to 3.5.6, the problem also disappeared. He himself had installed 3.5.6 the whole time, just like me.
I did see the same problem!
However, it only occurred when I was in VR. I could interact with everything in the TeamSpeak client through the Steam VR overlay apart from closing the settings. So something is definitely behaving weirdly there!
I hesitated to report this as I thought it to be just some VR quirks. But now seeing someone else with the exact same problem suggests there to be more.
@TS.ChrisR It would be nice if you could just check if this button behaves somehow differently from all other buttons.
Hi, I downloaded the beta76 today and there the same issue appears. In the beta 75 version it was possible to go out the settings by clicking the teamspeak logo, but with the newer version it is not possible to go out of the settings.
Thats really bad, because as written before I have to go to the settings every time, otherwise my mic will be on the whole time.
Thank you for checking!
Regards, Felix
I also have the same problem with the latest update beta 76. It only lets you exit on default. If i just close the program after choosing the BT60 headset which is what i use. I reopen the teamspeak to find that i get a gargled audio sound with stuttering with not just what people say but with all my audio. Its like a buffering problem with this stutter. I close the TS and it goes back to normal.
Now we need to make groups. AllianceAuth handles groups in teamspeak differently: instead of creating groups, it creates an association between groups in TeamSpeak and groups in AllianceAuth. Go ahead and make the groups you want to associate with auth groups, keeping in mind multiple TeamSpeak groups can be associated with a single auth group.
In the top-right corner click, first click on Update TS3 Groups to fetch the newly created server groups from TS3 (this may take a minute to complete). Then click on Add Auth / TS Group to link Auth groups with TS3 server groups.
The dropdown box provides all auth groups. Select one and assign TeamSpeak groups from the panels below. If these panels are empty, wait a minute for the database update to run, or see the troubleshooting section below.
This usually occurs because auth is trying to remove a user from the Guest group (group ID 8). The guest group is only assigned to a user when they have no other groups, unless you have changed the default teamspeak server config.
Teamspeak servers v3.0.13 and up are especially susceptible to this. Ensure the Channel Admin Group is not set to Guest (8). Check by right-clicking on the server name, Edit virtual server, and in the middle of the panel select the Misc tab.
This error generally means teamspeak returned an error message that went unhandled. The full traceback is required for proper debugging, which the logs do not record. Please check the superuser notifications for this record and get in touch with a developer.
If you have SSH access to the server hosting it, you need to locate the teamspeak server folder and add the auth server IP on a new line in query_ip_allowlist.txt (named query_ip_whitelist.txt on older teamspeak versions).
I have this issue with a bunch of different games/apps + teamspeak. The thing is its not consistent for me. Sometimes launching a game or youtube the audio will work, other times the audio doesn't. I've yet to figure out precisely what the issue is. My sound card is a 1st gen Creative Xfi XtremeMusic, so maybe that has something to do with it.
