People learn in amazing ways (sight, touch, other ppl's feeling,
analyzing, personal feelings, artistically) . Books are (probably the
best, but not the only) sources of knowledge. you'd be surprised how
much u can learn from a regular tv show, (aside from star plus
ofcourse). The human mind learns more from pictures and moving objects
than plain text, becuz images remain in our memory and are easier to
recall. (some study was conducted on it by assigning one group of kids
a newspaper and reading an article in it, and another group watched
the same news on tv. Turns out, the kids who watched tv recalled more
details). Other than that, the mind never fails to fasinate people. It
all works in a series of actions. i knw this is kinda weird but its
like a chain of events all going inside ur brain. Thats how u really
learn, and technolgy has been a huge asset to this. (just look at this
group, how in the Lord's name will we be sharing such info if it
weren't for computers and internet??)
going back to my series of events theory thingy. Suppose u learnt a
new thing watching a movie, a cooking show or possibly anything.
(note: it doesn;'t HAVE to be discovery or natgeo). Once u siwtch the
telly off, you'll easily be able to recall it. Why? It goes like
flashbacks: u saw tv...really cool muvi with awseom stunts...new idea
which u just learnt and WHAM! U got it. U can relate to it..and rmbr
the whole thing much easily beaucse
a) u saw it
b) the picture remains in ur mind vividly
So, uhm that was my twisted concept..:-S
