Good Afternoon Salo ,

Sorry i could not reply earlier , I do't ussually read my gmail and it would be better if you email my government email account which is eroni....@naurugov.nr ,

Try and restart the server by .
 1. Login using putty and type the command : reboot
2.wait for 5 minutes and login to the server again and try to ping www.google.com

If there is a reply then it is just a small connectivity problem .
If there is No reply then the connection to Rontel is giving problems again , we have been getting problems with connection at ICT as well using the wireless .

Kind Regards

i dont know wat else to do. so write back asap
by the way i'd rather write to you through gmail because the other olpc members should know what's happening and what we're doing with problems and everything. so thats that.

thank you and waiting for your reply.

Good Morning Salo ,

Type : su root  ( which means switch user to root ) and when it asks you for the password use the root password and then reboot the system .

You can email me on the government email and then CC to nauru...@googlegroups.com

the reason is that government internet is very slow and most times i cannot access gmail

Eroni

I added your gov address and made you a manager on both your emails.... Salodina and Lavina too. You can therefore all add people to the group and change settings, and upload files to share etc etc
