Teachers needs regarding Connectivity

Hi Marcus,

We have identified some urgent needs regarding this training. As we have moved on from simple laptop training, we need to empower teachers with Internet based tools and resources. However, we are being hampered by the connection being open, as from anecdotal evidence people in houses around the school are logging on and using the Internet via the school server.

We urgently need Eroni to work on this issue by working with me to find the best way, i.e.

(a) Adding password protection to all the APs or

(b) Password protection on the gateway

I have to train the teachers so would appreciate help with this tomorrow, if Eroni is available. We will be training all weekend and will appreciate faster Internet access with the freeloaders in nearby houses excluded..

I have already mentioned that the connection is not safe and needs to be routed via the Content Keeper. Sites are blocked but Google Images is not blocked.

Finally, they need access to Windows computers to download resources and prepare content using office programmes etc. They have a laptop but it is restricted and does not allow them to log on with wireless. Can that be enabled?
