Sorry if this email is off topic (lists) but you might have heard there is a solar eclipse today. Solomon Islands where I am don’t get a full one, but it should be visible, and in parts of Kiribati it is full. In Nauru it will be about 85%

I entered 0 deg 36 min S and 166 deg 50 min E and time zone +11 and it said the partial eclipse starts at about 1.30 this afternoon, peaking about an hour later. But I may have the time zone wrong so be alert an hour earlier!
HOWEVER DON’T LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN!!!!! You can use a sheet of white paper with a pin hole and hold another sheet below it, the sun will shine through the pinhole and create an image of the sun on the one below. I haven’t actually tried that but it’s elementary school stuff!
