I have no idea why you will need to "manually download" anything. ? Dropbox application take care for this, usually, and keeps the content in sync. The "scratch" directory is something for internal use and isn't officially supported! Actual place template (relative to phone common data directory) is: Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/[user id]/scratch ? which is something different from that what is in your post (order of 'scratch' and '[user]' got swapped, at least)!

Here I have to confess, I'm getting confused. Have you 'downloaded' or 'mark for offline' the things? These are two completely different things! Don't mess them. If you have downloaded something, it should be on same place where it have been downloaded, if not removed somehow. Dropbox doesn't anything to do here. If you have marked something for offline access, it should be on the pointed place above. If you can't find it, probably you're looking on wrong place, I'm guessing.

I would suggest LiChess. It is free (of charge and ads) and it has a website + android app. You can practice vs other opponents, solve tactic puzzles. They also have a learning section, where you can learn about simple strategic concepts.

It is just my preference. I find the collection of problems better. Lichess exercises are taken from blitz games analyzed by Stockfish. They are fine and free, but sometimes the selection they do with code is not accurate for a human.

The advantage Lichess has is when you do an exercise you can check the engine. This is useful to realize why the line you played fails. At ChessTempo this is not possible, but on messages you can read from other users why the solution and not any other alternative works.

You must make the project first. This is the most important step. If you don't want to make a scratch project or don't know how to you can use this project made by kevin_eleven_1234 and RacingHans to follow along. in that case, skip to step 5. You can also use someone else's project. If you are making one yourself, keep in mind you are making a mobile app, so the icons must be big and easy to tap. Don't forget to share the project.

Now you need to make an icon and download it. This is what someone will see before they tap on your app. Use makeappicon.com to make your icon. Upload your icon, enter your email, wait a few minutes, and download the file.

After it finishes loading, it will download. You can send the file to your email on your phone or tablet and download it from there. Or you can do this step on your phone or tablet. Android settings don't allow "unknown" apps on default, so when you download, you will have to turn that setting off.

Congratulations, you now have made an app! This will work on Android tablets and phones. This needs the internet to work, which means if you edit your scratch project, it will show up in the app. If there is no internet, you can't use the app. Make sure to show friends and family!

A big part of working at Clubhouse is acknowledging that we will face challenges, and that there is no blueprint laid out for us. In moments like these we are scrappy and resourceful, knowing that we have no choice but to figure it out. In the end, we always find a way, which is one of our core values.

Luckily, while we were starting from scratch with the codebase, we were not starting from ground zero with the app; we already had a great iOS app that we could build off of. The iOS app gave me a launchpad to craft an app that made sense for Android. For example, from building iOS we had learned that large rooms caused performance issues related to updating the UI with the state of the room so we knew to architect rooms on Android with this in mind.

For the first month or so, it was just me! This made my workflow incredibly simple. My days usually looked like: Weekly sync with Daniel to talk about progress and what was up next, syncs with Rohan (our CTO) to check in on progress and discuss hiring, lots and lots of heads down time coding.

This MVI architecture also allowed us to address potential performance issues with relative ease. For example, we knew from learnings from the iOS app that we would eventually run into UI lag issues for very large rooms due to constant updates to the view state as listeners joined, left, and went up on stage. To solve this, we could use kotlin flow features to batch view state updates that are usually frequent (join room, leave room, make speaker) and to throttle updates of the channel view state in the viewmodel at a rate based on the size of the room.

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

I am a very happy spotify user but since I got a new phone (nexus 5, 4.4.4) I get a scratch sound over songs. It's not related to specific speakers (got it on headphones, phone speakers and other speakers) and apperently only with spotify. It does not happen consequently, every now and then.

I think you should try a factory resent on your device and see if the problem continues. If it does I'd be tempted to speak to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement/fix as it sounds faulty.

I to have this problem, i've been using the nexus 5 for a couple of months now, very intensively if i might add. And i get this problem every few minutes when using spotify and i don't remember getting it using any other application.

Great guess, Bruno!!! But it seems it's not necessary to turn the equalizer off. It worked for me just to disable the surround sound inside the equalizer. Still it's not ideal, but a little better than disable the equalizer. Hope the next Spotify update fixes it. I want the surround sound back.

Today the IT sphere has become so widespread that it seems that only the lazy person has not thought about changing his activity if he is not already working there. So, for those who are not one of those who got lucky to choose a speciality at university and choice fell for the development of android applications, it will be useful to read the proven recommendations written bellow.

This article is intended to make my subjective review of the approximate algorithm and available resources in order to obtain the android developer speciality, in case if the person does not even know what programming language is. All of the resources listed below were not invented by me but were recommended by different mentors during my studies. Therefore, regardless of who my teacher was, they all advised more or less the same thing. I only make a brief description and subjective comments on these tips.

There will be no philosophical reflection on "Should I change my speciality?", "Why is the speciality of Android developer better than others?", "Why become a programmer?", "Which programming language to choose?". It is considered that the reader has already answered these questions, made his choice and is ready to devote the next three years (if he is completely zero in programming, which I once was) to the study of Android application development.

Basic knowledge and skills are not at all related to programming, but experienced programmers of any programming language agree that avoiding this steps and jumping directly to the programming language itself in the future will very slow down the speed of development and most likely sooner or later needed to back to this step. Of course, if there is all good with the basics, then no need to learn anything again, but in practice, unfortunately, this is not an often situation and something needs to be filled up with a missed subject.

There is an often situation when you learn math at school, and one thought does not go from mind "Will I really use it in practice when I grow up?" and even some teachers answer "NO!" to this question. And the truth is that mathematics, indeed not so often required in software development, but owning it helps our brains to solve problems in a special way. Those who are just beginning to study programming will constantly hear about "features of our brains."

There is no blockbuster movie about hackers where programmers would write code with two fingers and looking at the keyboard. There is nothing to add here, without the ability to write blindly about programming you can forget. There are plenty of resources on the Internet to help those who have this problem, but I personally advise the resource that was advised and was checked in practice by me typingstudy.com ( ).

This item is probably not the most important one here, but I still can't get past it, because as I was advised and I fully agree, in every programmer's life should be the first book to be the first step on his difficult path and will provide an overview of what he will be dealing with.

Among the books I was advised, for now, I am inclined to believe that such a book should be "Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software" written by Charles Petzold, published by Microsoft Press ( !AuJrOEfAudvDvz0xV-iYAuzAEEJ3).
