i need to be back in chapel hill at 5:00pm both days.

I agree. it would be really valuable to have Alan there. But getting him home by 5 means missing most if not all of the 3pm game.

Is anybody already headed home that early?

We could bring him, especially if he could get a ride out to my house in the morning so I don't have to backtrack. I suppose I could bring him home, but if I'm still feeling OK, I'd like to play that 4th game. I'll be hurting a lot the next day anyway7.

Also, Alan isn't on our tourney roster, at least not as of right now. Can he play?

It would be great if you could make it so Alan can join us, but it's totally up to you whether you want to skip the last game.

Alan -- What address would you need to be picked up from? Can you drive yourself a few miles in the early morning to catch a ride (or get a ride from family/roommates) so I don't have to backtrack and drive an extra 45 minutes in the early morning? (W-S is over a half hour closer to my house than to Chapel Hill, by some strange quirk of geometry.)

And if I give Alan a ride home, can someone give Kim a ride back to my house near Cole Park Plaza (near Fearrington) in Chatham County at the end of the day Sunday, so Kim can stay for all of game 4?

Note that this does not address Alan's need for a ride on Sunday, but there there's a whole day to work that out.

Alan --

What address(es) could you be picked up at? (If you provide the street addresses, we can see how far out of the way they are.)

Once we know that, I'm willing to help, but there are three conditions, that is, Three IFs:

IF someone else can give Alan a ride to Winston Salem OR IF he can put himself in Kim's path so she can give him a ride to my house, picking him up at 5:45 or so in the morning

and

IF someone else can give Kim a ride back to my house after the game so she can stay for all of game #4 (maybe the same person who gives Alan a ride there?)

and

IF I don't blow my knee out, so I can drive home (which is one reason I wanted a rider)

THEN I will drive Alan back at 3:30 Saturday

In other words, I'm willing to come home early so Alan can play, but not ALSO get up an hour earlier. And you take your chances with my knees ...

So, can someone else help with Alan's ride there or Kim's ride back? Alan, work those other problems out and I'll help!

Kim has first dibs on a ride there and back with me.
