Combe Martin: Wild Pear Bay
The local council have no objection to the present informal
arrangements continuing. The National Trust have been making the
pathway more accessible and have endeavoured to put in some steps at
the bottom. Although a good walk from the Car Park, it is well worth
the effort to relax in this idyllic spot. Easier access means a few
more textiles but, with a little common sense, everyone can co-exist.
Classification: Unofficial

Warning: Sea is quite good, not usually difficult for a swim, although
watch out for the currents if going too deep.

Dorset: Studland Bay - OFFICIAL BEACH
The UK's most popular naturist beach has official approval from the
National Trust, which owns the bay. The naturist part of the long sandy
beach is about 1km long, and is well signposted.
The National Trust, Police, BN, SUN and other interested bodies are
working together to discourage those who threaten to bring naturism
into disrepute by sexual misconduct. Please help us to keep Studland
'family friendly'.
Directions: You can get there by catching a ferry from the Sandbanks
peninsula in Poole and walking the last mile via Shell Bay. A van is
situated on the beach on busy summer days, selling drinks, snacks and
ice creams to naturists.
Parking: It is near the centre of the bay, which has car parks at
either end. Park at either of these car parks (at Shell Bay on the
northern end or Knoll beach at the southern end) and walk along the
paths/beach until you reach the naturist section. Also accessible from
'Fire Point 6 on Ferry Road

which will take you to the St Marychurch area. When you have passed
through St Marychurch turn RIGHT at the small island into Petitor Road
and with Torquay Golf Club on your left, drive to the end of Petitor
Road, where you can [normally] park. Leaving the car, walk to the end
of Petitor Road (the sea end, not the St.Marychurch village end) and go
through the metal swing gate and down the long grassy slope. At the end
turn left and continue down to the beach - it's a stiff trek down.
