Hi all, 

Applications are now open for the Winter 2026 Local Phenology Leader Certification Course! This is a 10-week, online and interactive course designed to help you plan and implement a long-term Nature's Notebook program. The course runs January 12 - March 20, 2026.

The Course offers -

• Guidance on developing a Phenology Program Plan including an action plan and sustainability plan, and three resources for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers
• Hands on orientation to all the resources provided by the USA-NPN, including data visualization, phenology lesson plans and activities, and outreach and engagement resources
• Weekly opportunities to brainstorm and plan with fellow participants from across the country through forum discussions and virtual meetings

We're very excited that our LPL facilitator for the January course is Amanda Wanlass, Founder and Executive Director of Indiana Phenology.
