Good morning everyone,

Just a reminder that you are invited to join ORA’s online General
Meeting, scheduled for Saturday, 22 June 2024, at 10:00 am – see the
attached Agenda.

Krystal Lomas, Aquatic Restoration Technician with Credit Valley
Conservation will be our keynote speaker.

Krystal was a project lead in the *Mill Creek Weir Removal Project*
which was completed in late summer of 2023. Krystal handles the
implementation of small to medium-sized stream restoration projects on
private and public lands within the CVC watershed. She supports the
Aquatic Restoration program with procurement of consultants and
contractors, construction oversight, funding applications, budgeting,
and monitoring pre and post-construction. Krystal worked with a
landowner in Orangeville, removing the in-stream barrier within Mill
Creek to provide fish passage and enhance Brook Trout habitat. Ontario
Rivers Alliance was a supporting partner with this project and we will
continue to work with ORA on a pond mitigation project later this summer.

I hope to see you there!  We will begin our meeting at 10:00 am, so
please arrive there a few minutes early!
