The Cornell bird Labs  ( The Macaulay Library)  provide a sound  library that is open and usable.  I can record a bird sound and it will tell me which bird it is.

Is there such a library for Frog Sound anywhere?

And speaking of sound, The smoke and sun are setting off all my motion detection alarms, It is very noisy in here this morning.

Check the Ontario Nature website for the Amphibians of Ontario, I
can't recall if they have sound clips but I believe there is a
book/catalogue for amphibians and reptiles.

The smoke has been terrible these past couple of days, my eyes kind of
gummed up a bit and I felt really tired. Around 8:00 p.m. the sky to
the north cleared, but around midnight it clouded over again. 'Tis
mostly clear this morning, the birds were singing and the cicadas are
buzzing.

I didn't make note this year of when I heard my first cicada, only
heard one per day. I know on Sunday when we had the pup down to the
beach for a swim I commented to my partner they were singing. Several
of them are buzzing loudly this morning.

Last night was a bit cooler, not as many nights and no mantidflies,
they tend to show up when it's hot and humid and there are lots of the
little midges on the walls. 3 nights ago I had 11 of them, 2 nights
ago there were 5. I still about 5 in the bug boxes, gotta get them
cooled down and photographed and released. I had caught a bunch of
tiny midges with the electric pooter and fed the mantidflies with
those. With the smoke yesterday the natural lighting was very poor
and I was a big foggy-headed, not good for getting good photographs.

I'm chugging away at tagging which photos from the recent folders I
want to process, and geez, there's a lot of them. Each folder
contains 300 to 400 photographs, so there's over 2,000 to glean
through. I think for now I'll pick out the more interesting ones and
leave the "common" stuff for later.

Someone hand me some energy and motivation, I've got a lot of work and
"wanna-dos" to catch up and I'm finding it difficult to get moving.
