Seems miraculous almost:   Garter Snake on the garden  this cold morning.  I don't think I have seen them alive this early and certainly not at the low temps.

its 9.5 @10:30 Am.   It was 2 overnight.   The water pipes were opened a week ago to-day.  There is still Ice on the pond. 

Wee Coltsfoot popping up in several spots.    I think I am getting the hint of spring.
