* wow - no adults! Do you have adults elsewhere in the area? ...and did
you have Manitoba Maples whose leaves & fruit dried up in the summer?

What are others on the list seeing of Box Elder Bugs? I.m thinking of
writing a Trail & Landscape article about having nymphs among ours -
maybe where MM leaves stayed green all summer there are only adults?

Just now I saw a tiny adult on our woodshed, which may be another sign
of a removed food supply.

We have swarms, literally, seeking crevices in the tongue and groove siding.

This was my brothers garden and I was not there.  But he does have a huge Manitoba Maple a few yards ( Sorry Meters ) away.
I have no idea of its condition.  Either way I have never seen such a large gathering.

* can you ask him if the Manitoba Maple's foliage went brown earlier in
the summer?

Fred,
All seem to be adults and the interesting thing is that I have several large maple trees but none of them are actually Manitoba Maples. They retained most of the foliage despite the lack of rain.
