A third New Brunswick Monarch for the spring appeared today at Newcastle
Creek near Minto, a female photographed laying eggs on a young milkeed
plant, reported to Journey North by Elaine and Terry Fulton. I received
the report from Don Davis in Toronto who is tracking early Monarch
sightings at various places across southern Canada.

Someone on the butterly and moth group on facebook posted a photo of
one in Erin, Ontario on May 23rd. Meanwhile, my milkweeds are growing
well, so I await their arrival patiently.
