Hi all,
Doug and I were reading the Acadia university study which identifies lemon grass essential oil as the most effective tick repellent.  Researchers think the chemical signature repels them and makes people seem not like animals. It's half a cup of witch hazel with about a cup of water and at least 8 drops of the oil. The witch hazel emulsifies the oil. Spray it liberally on clothing and hat. We had many ticks on us 2 years ago (first time in my life) and both him and the grandchildren got Lyme. Since using the spray religiously we've had almost none. I'm also going to plant lemon grass and citronella around where we sit which I usually do.

Thankyou.  I shall give it a try, I certainly have plenty of mice.

I shall also grow more pots of catnip, I've read that catnip also
deters ticks.
