“Granite Rapids Moon”
A Benefit for the Sustainability Coalition
Saturday, May 16 ● 4:00 pm
At Darkside Cinema, 215 SW 4th Street
The Corvallis Sustainability Coalition invites you to the Darkside Cinema this Saturday for a one-time only local showing of “Granite Rapids Moon”. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for this showing will benefit the Sustainability Coalition.
The first narrative feature film ever to shoot the majority of its footage inside the Grand Canyon, “Granite Rapids Moon” was made with permission and oversight from the National Park Service using only the equipment that cast and crew could carry on their backs through 82 miles of hiking.
The film was first released in 2025 and has received positive reviews for its stellar cinematography and its engaging story – a romantic drama that its creators are quick to point out “contains no nudity, sex, guns, violence, drugs, tobacco, or strong profanity.” Ten percent of all profits from this movie are donated to the Grand Canyon Conservancy, Leave No Trace, and Plastic Free America.
We hope to see you there!
