We're planting trees on Saturday afternoon - Can you help?

Thanks to Aleita, Patty, Peter, Jennifer, Lilia, Sagan, Michael, David, Lyn, Phil, Linda, Emma, Pam, and Liam for volunteering to help plant trees on Saturday.

 

If you’re planning to help but your name isn’t yet on this list, please let me know TODAY! We have 10 trees to plant and could definitely use additional help!

Hi, Community Inclusion and Natural Areas Action Team members,

 

This year’s tree-planting program is a little different than the previous two years. We’ve found homes for two Oregon White Oaks and eight Bigleaf Maples in South Corvallis – three trees in front yards, two in Lilly Park, and five in riparian areas near Mill Race and the Marys River. And we need your help to get all of these trees planted!

 

Please let me know ASAP and no later than Tuesday 12/10/24 whether or not you can help.

I live within the traditional homeland of the Ampinefu Band of Kalapuya.  Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya …Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations at either Grand Ronde or Siletz. Today, the Kalapuya live on tribal lands or tribal-ceded lands throughout the region. Many Kalapuya are active members of the sovereign nations of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Kalapuya culture is alive.
