Handling Android and iOS connection to NATS Streaming Server

Hi, i am developing a IM app for android and iOS and i am going to use NATS to handle the message pub/sub, i am wondering the best way to handle the mobile clients connecting and keeping a persistant connection to the NATS server, is there a native client for android and iOS or am i best using something like nginx as a connection proxy?

We have a Java NATS Streaming client, but using nginx is indeed an alternative. We have a support for nginx too: https://github.com/nats-io/nginx-nats
