Hello,

i have a server running on 192.168.0.164.xxx and a windows machine running on 192.168.88.250

I used mkcert to create certificates for tls auth on both machines.

When trying to connect from 192.168.88.250 to 192.168.0.164 I get the following error:

[ERR] 192.168.0.250:24822 - cid:12 - TLS handshake error: remote error: tls: bad certificate

I cant figure out why the ip address is wrong. it should be 192.168.88.250 but comes in as 192.168.0.250.

When i switch to user auth is works just fine.

So it must be my tls setup, which i have tried every way.

I put an entry in the host file for the 88.250 machine

The server is running in a kvm vm.

The 250 is a win 10 machine.

Any pointer would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

ed

Solved.

I used  Cloudfare ssl utility to sign the certificate.

Best regards.
