Gujarat tops the startup rankings for the fourth consecutive time, emerging as the top-performing state

Gujarat Wins the Best Performer State Award from the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi
New Delhi 16 January 2024: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the 'Startup India' initiative on January 16, 2016, to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. Under this initiative, Gujarat has once more been awarded the "Best Performer State" in startup rankings.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel congratulated the State Government's Industries Department and the entrepreneurs contributing to the startup ecosystem for this remarkable achievement. On National Startup Day, the results of the Startup Ranking-2022 were announced in New Delhi by the Union Minister for Industries and Commerce, Shri Piyush Goyal.
The 'Startup India' campaign by the Prime Minister aims to cultivate a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem, aligning with the vision of achieving 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat.' As a result, India has emerged as the world's largest startup hub, with over 1 lakh 17 thousand validated startups and 111 unicorn startups. Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) within the Central Government introduced a startup ranking framework for states in 2018. This framework encourages innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
Under this framework, DPIIT and Startup India recently evaluated 33 states and Union Territories across 7 crucial reform areas, employing 25 action points for the 2022 ranking. In the declared results of this assessment, Gujarat has won the Best Performer State award for the fourth consecutive time. Senior officials from the Industries Department and Team Gujarat accepted the award in New Delhi. It's worth mentioning that Gujarat pioneered the launch of the first Startup Policy in 2015, fostering the startup culture within the state. With more than 9200 recognized startups, the state government has initiated various support measures, including the establishment of the 'Gujarat Young Entrepreneurs Venture Fund' with a fund of 1 thousand crores. Additionally, facilities such as sustenance allowance, infrastructure assistance, monitoring assistance, and marketing allowance are also extended.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the state government has prioritized the overall and accelerated growth of startups. As a precursor to the recently concluded Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2024, a startup conclave and a seminar on startup and innovation were successfully organized during the Vibrant Summit. In a proactive move, the Education Department has introduced the 'Student Startup and Innovation Policy 2.0,' aiming to instil entrepreneurial skills among students from the school education level in Gujarat. This initiative has fostered a conducive environment for startups. Also, departments such as Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Higher, and Technical Education are actively contributing to creating a supportive atmosphere for startups.
Recognizing the state government's successful implementation of the Startup India program, Gujarat was honoured with the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2017.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the state government is dedicated to enhancing the startup ecosystem by offering incubation support to aspiring entrepreneurs through 'iCreate.' As a result, Gujarat has topped the 'Startup Ranking' for the fourth consecutive time.

, 16 जनवरी : प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा उद्यमियों को प्रोत्साहन तथा प्रेरणा देने के लिए 16 जनवरी, 20016 से शुरू की गई नूतन पहल ‘स्टार्टअप इंडिया’ के अंतर्गत गुजरात ने लगातार चौथी बार स्टार्टअप रैंकिंग में बेस्ट परफॉर्मर स्टेट का गौरव प्राप्त किया है।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र पटेल ने यह गौरव सिद्धि प्राप्त करने के लिए राज्य सरकार के उद्योग विभाग तथा स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम से जुड़े उद्यमियों को अभिनंदन प्रेषित किया है।
केन्द्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल ने मंगलवार को नेशनल स्टार्टअप डे के अवसर पर नई दिल्ली में स्टार्टअप रैंकिंग 2022 के परिणामों का अनावरण किया।
प्रधानमंत्री ने आत्मनिर्भर भारत के ध्येय को प्राप्त करने के लिए देश में मजबूत उद्यमी इकोसिस्टम को प्रोत्साहन देने के उद्देश्य के साथ यह ‘स्टार्टअप इंडिया’ पहल शुरू कराई है।
इसके फलस्वरूप; भारत आज विश्व में लगभग 1 लाख 17 हजार मान्यता प्राप्त स्टार्टअप तथा 111 यूनिकॉर्न स्टार्टअप वाला सबसे बड़ा स्टार्टअप हब बना है।
देश के राज्यों में भी नवाचार तथा उद्यमिता को अधिक से अधिक प्रेरित करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की प्रेरणा से केन्द्र सरकार के उद्योग एवं आंतरिक व्यापार संवर्धन विभाग (डिपार्टमेंट फॉर प्रमोशन ऑफ इंडस्ट्री एंड इंटरनल ट्रेड-डीपीआईआईटी) द्वारा वर्ष 2018 से राज्यों के लिए स्टार्टअप रैंकिंग फ्रेमवर्क शुरू किया गया है।
इस फ्रेमवर्क के अंतर्गत हाल ही में वर्ष 2022 की रैंकिंग के लिए डीपीआईआईटी तथा स्टार्टअप इंडिया ने 33 राज्यों व केन्द्रशासित प्रदेशों का 25 एक्शन पॉइंट्स आधारित 7 निर्णायक सुधारों के क्षेत्रों में मूल्यांकन (एसेसमेंट) किया।
इस मूल्यांकन के मंगलवार को घोषित परिणामों में गुजरात ने लगातार चौथी बार बेस्ट परफॉर्मर स्टेट का अवॉर्ड प्राप्त किया है।
राज्य के उद्योग विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों तथा टीम गुजरात ने मंगलवार को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक समारोह में यह अवॉर्ड स्वीकार किया।
यहाँ यह उल्लेख करना आवश्यक है कि राज्य में स्टार्टअप कल्चर को गति देने के लिए गुजरात ने पहलरूपी स्टार्टअप पॉलिसी 2015 लॉन्च की है।
राज्य में 9200 से अधिक मान्यता प्राप्त स्टार्टअप्स हैं। इतना ही नहीं; राज्य सरकार ने युवा उद्यमिता को प्रारंभिक स्तर पर सहायता के लिए 1 हजार करोड़ रुपए के फंड के साथ ‘गुजरात यंग एंटरप्रिन्योर्स वेंचर फंड’ शुरू कर प्रोत्साहन प्रदान किया है।
इसके अतिरिक्त; युवा उद्यमियों को सस्टेनेंस अलाउंस, इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर असिस्टेंस, मॉनिटरिंग असिस्टेंस तथा मार्केटिंग अलाउंस जैसी सुविधा-सहायता भी दी जाती है।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र पटेल के नेतृत्व में राज्य सरकार ने राज्य में स्टार्टअप को अधिक व्यापक तथा गतिशील बनाने को महत्व दिया है। हाल ही में संपन्न वाइब्रेंट गुजरात ग्लोबल समिट 2024 की प्री-वाइब्रेंट इवेंट के रूप में स्टार्टअप कॉन्क्लेव एवं वाइब्रेंट समिट के दौरान स्टार्टअप एंड इनोवेशन सेमिनार का भी सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया गया।
गुजरात में विद्यालयीन शिक्षा स्तर से ही विद्यार्थियों-युवाओं में उद्यमिता क्षमता विकसित करने के लिए शिक्षा विभाग ने ‘स्टूडेंट स्टार्टअप एंड इनोवेशन पॉलिसी 2.0’ लॉन्च की है। इस पॉलिसी के कारण भी स्टार्टअप के लिए नए वातावरण का निर्माण हुआ है।
तदुपरांत; विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, जैवप्रौद्योगिकी, उच्च एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा जैसे विभागों द्वारा भी स्टार्टअप को प्रोत्साहक वातावरण प्रदान किया जा रहा है।
राज्य सरकार को स्टार्टअप इंडिया प्रोग्राम के सफलतापूर्वक के क्रियान्वयन के लिए वर्ष 2017 में प्राइम मिनिस्टर अवॉर्ड फॉर एक्सीलेंस इन पब्लिक एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन भी प्राप्त हुआ है।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र पटेल के नेतृत्व में राज्य सरकार ‘आईक्रिएट’ के माध्यम से युवा उद्यमियों को इनक्यूबेशन सपोर्ट देकर भी राज्य में स्टार्टअप कोसिस्टम को अधिक व्यापक बनाने को प्रतिबद्ध है।
इन सभी पहलों-प्रयासों की फलश्रुति के चलते गुजरात स्टार्टअप रैंकिंग में लगातार चौथी बार अग्रसर राज्य बना है।

The vibrant state of Gujarat is set to make a resounding statement on the 75th Republic Day celebration with its tableau, "Dhordo: Global Identity of Gujarat's Border Tourism," at the National Parade on Kartavyapath, New Delhi.
The tableau, aligned with the theme "Dhordo: Global Identity of Gujarat's Border Tourism," will offer an overview of the state's rich cultural heritage. Dhordo, recently recognized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as one of the Best Tourism Villages, takes center stage in showcasing the unique blend of tradition, tourism, and technology that defines the essence of a 'Developed India.'
The tableau is set to feature the distinctive "Bhunga" houses of Dhordo, acknowledged by UNWTO, along with local handicrafts, Rogan art, the vibrant "Ran Utsav," Tent City, and the cultural phenomenon of Garba, which has been declared Gujarat's "Intangible Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO.
A total of 25 tableaus, including 16 from various states and union territories, and 09 from central government departments, will be on display at the Republic Day parade. France President Emmanuel Macron is slated to be the chief guest at the event.
Dhordo, situated in the desert of Kutch, has overcome adversities to emerge as a top tourist destination, portraying the spirit of Gujarat's border tourism in the tableau. The geographical location of Gujarat will be depicted on a rotating globe at the forefront of the tableau. Showcasing local handicrafts, Rogan art, traditional Kutchi music, and the iconic "Bhunga" houses, the tableau encapsulates the essence of tradition intertwined with digital progress.
The tableau highlights Dhordo's inclusion in UNWTO's Best Tourism Village list, emphasizing the seamless integration of tradition, tourism, and technology in achieving the vision of a "Developed India." It also showcases the festivities of Ranotsav, Tent City experiences, and various weavings of Kutch.
Noteworthy inclusions are depictions of women performing Garba in traditional attire, representing the historical culture of Gujarat. The recent UNESCO recognition of Gujarat's Garba as "Intangible Cultural Heritage" adds a layer of pride for every Gujarati and Indian.
The Information Department of the Government of Gujarat, led by Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh, Secretary, Information and Broadcasting, Government of Gujarat, Mr. Dheeraj Parekh, Director of Information, Mr. Arvind Patel, Additional Director of Information, Mr. Pankajbhai Modi and Dr.Sanjay Kachot, Deputy Director of Information has collaborated in the meticulous preparation of this captivating overview. गुजरात राज्य ने हमेशा ही अपने सामाजिक, राजनीतिक, औद्योगिक और सांस्कृतिक विकास के माध्यम से देश को एक नई दिशा दिखाई है। इस उपक्रम को कायम रखते हुए इस वर्ष 26 जनवरी, 2024 को नई दिल्ली के कर्तव्य पथ पर आयोजित गणतंत्र दिवस की राष्ट्रीय परेड में राज्य की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को उजागर करने वाली ‘धोरडोः गुजरात के सरहदी पर्यटन की वैश्विक पहचान’ विषय पर आधारित झांकी का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा।
उल्लेखनीय है कि हाल ही में संयुक्त राष्ट्र विश्व पर्यटन संगठन (यूएनडब्ल्यूटीओ) ने धोरडो को दुनिया के सर्वश्रेष्ठ पर्यटन गांवों की सूची में शामिल किया है। यह सीमावर्ती गांव अपनी जीवटता और ‘विकसित भारत’ की परिकल्पना को साकार करने के साथ ही राज्य एवं देश के सरहदी पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देता है।
इस वर्ष गणतंत्र दिवस की परेड में 16 राज्यों और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों तथा केंद्र सरकार के विभिन्न विभागों की 9 झांकियों सहित कुल 25 झांकियों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार 75वें गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों मौजूद रहेंगे।
अमृत काल के इस पहले गणतंत्र पर्व में, गुजरात की इस झांकी के जरिए यह प्रदर्शित किया गया है कि, कैसे पर्यावरणीय, भौगोलिक और प्राकृतिक विषमताओं से भरे कच्छ के रण में स्थित राज्य का सीमावर्ती गांव धोरडो अनेक प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों के बावजूद पर्यटन क्षेत्र में सिरमौर स्थल बनकर उभरा है।
झांकी के अगले हिस्से में घूमते हुए ग्लोब में गुजरात की भौगोलिक स्थिति को दर्शाया गया है। पूरी दुनिया में गुजरात के नक्शे और ‘भूंगा’ नामक पारंपरिक कच्छी घरों से पहचाने जाने वाले धोरडो को दिखाने के साथ ही इस झांकी में स्थानीय हस्तकला, रोगन आर्ट, परम्परागत कच्छी संगीत और कौशल जैसे विषयों को दर्शाया गया है। पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में सुसज्जित विदेशी पर्यटकों को डिजिटल तरीके से भुगतान कर यहां की कलाकृतियों को खरीदते हुए भी दिखाया गया है, जो इस गांव की परम्परा के साथ-साथ डिजिटल प्रगति को भी दिखा रहा है।
परम्परा, पर्यटन, टेक्नोलॉजी और विकास के शानदार संयोजन के कारण ही धोरडो को संयुक्त राष्ट्र विश्व पर्यटन संगठन (यूएनडब्ल्यूटीओ) की सर्वश्रेष्ठ पर्यटन गांवों की सूची में शामिल किया गया है, जो वास्तव में ‘विकसित भारत’ की संकल्पना को साकार करता है। इसके अलावा, झांकी में रण उत्सव, टेंट सिटी और कच्छ की विभिन्न कढ़ाई-बुनाई कला को प्रदर्शित किया गया है।
झांकी में पारंपरिक पोशाक में गरबा नृत्य करती महिलाएं गुजरात की ऐतिहासिक संस्कृति का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही हैं। हाल ही में ‘यूनेस्को’ ने गुजरात के गरबा को ‘अमूर्त सांस्कृतिक विरासत’ में शामिल किया है, जो प्रत्येक गुजराती तथा भारतीय के लिए एक गर्व की बात है।
गुजरात सरकार के सूचना विभाग की ओर से प्रस्तुत इस झांकी के निर्माण में सूचना एवं प्रसारण सचिव श्रीमती अवंतिका सिंह औलख, सूचना निदेशक श्री धीरज पारेख, अतिरिक्त निदेशक श्री अरविंद पटेल के मार्गदर्शन में श्री पंकजभाई मोदी तथा उप सूचना निदेशक श्री संजय कचोट योगदान दे रहे हैं। झांकी का निर्माण स्मार्ट ग्राफ आर्ट एडवर्टाइजिंग प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के श्री सिद्धेश्वर कानूगा कर रहे हैं।
