SNOMED Code Revisions - (f)(7) Transmission to Public Health Agencies – Health Care Surveys

Epic has been working through the test data for the Surveys as posted on the NIST site.

In testing patient Gary Goe, the test data requires SNOMED 162299003 with ICD 10 R51.0.  Within the last few months, this SNOMED code was updated to be associated with ICD R51.9.

Brian – could you confirm that we are able to include the current SNOMED/ICD pairing in certification instead of the one listed in the test data?

The ICD code of R51.9, instead of R51.0, is permissible, to use in representing ‘patient's reason for visit/ complaint' for pt. Gary Goe in the NHCS Release 1.2 test data.
