In test data, One row is Seen by PCP – ‘Yes’ and it is Should data element. However, I could not find relevant section on HL7 guide where this particular data element should go in xml.

Similarly, there is one row Referral visit – No and it is Shall data element. However, I could not find relevant section on HL7 guide where this particular data element should go in xml.

Kushal,

Our response is indented after each of your two questions.

In test data, One row is Seen by PCP – ‘Yes’ and it is Should data element. However, I could not find relevant section on HL7 guide where this particular data element should go in xml.

1.1.1.15 performer in HL7 CDA R2 IG: NHCS R1 (US Realm) DSTU—Vol. 2: Templates and Supporting Materials contains information that should answer your question, including: “The performer participant represents clinicians who actually and principally carry out the serviceEvent.“ And:

“2. The performer, if present, MAY contain zero or one [0..1] functionCode (CONF:1098-16818).

a. The functionCode, if present, SHOULD contain zero or one [0..1] @code, which SHOULD be selected from ValueSet ParticipationFunction 2.16.840.1.113883.1.11.10267 STATIC 2014-09-01 (CONF:1098-32889).”

Similarly, there is one row Referral visit – No and it is Shall data element. However, I could not find relevant section on HL7 guide where this particular data element should go in xml.

3.13.1 Current Visit in HL7 CDA R2 IG: NHCS R1 (US Realm) DSTU—Vol. 2: Templates and Supporting Materials contains information that should answer your question, including “If the current visit is the result of a referral, the referral document is referenced through the External Document Reference template.”

Brian
