Happy Holidays and Happy New Year Everyone!

For those who have yet to be introduced to MicCheck... briefly, our goal is to Coalesce, Simplify, & Streamline the Occupy Wall Street Movement into a National, and possibly even an International, Agenda for getting things done OUR WAY!

MicCheck's Year End Review:

Phase One: Occupy "Everything" = Incredible Success! We have made it into the homes (mind/hearts/hopes) of most every being on this planet. They know we are here and they know we mean business. That's HUGE!

Phase Two (now in session): educate ourselves/each other as we build our foundation, "Information Age / Social Media Style", where we remain OPEN 24/7 from the comfort of our own homes...

MicCheck's INVITATION:

MicCheck will be having our First General Assembly (GA) Online via our Chat Room on January 1st, 2012 at 12 noon pst. As this will be our first GA we're not really sure how it will unfold :) We don't believe anyone has hosted an online GA via chat before, so please be patient as we test this process out together, for the first time! 




Some of MicCheck's Philosophies:


Politically Speaking: Occupy is about creating a new, "ONE Party System" of (self?) "governing". A people's party by the people, for the people! It's about putting aside what is dividing us and uniting against the elite who, some say, created our two party system so we'd be too busy arguing while they attempted to take over our country and our world behind our backs! How will we do this? As our movement continues to mature/coalesce, so too, will our solutions.

On a Personal Level: "Occupy" is truly about Occupying Our Lives. It's about being Responsible, Accountable, having Integrity and Compassion, and most of all, it's about Occupying the Reality that WE are ALL in this TOGETHER.

Whether it's the Big Bang Theory that states all was "ONE" before it exploded into everything (which includes US), or "GOD" is everything (which includes US), Separation IS an Illusion. Science is clearly proving that we are all unmistakably, intrinsically connected to each other and earth (new video coming soon! :). On a most fundamental level, we are only as strong/happy/healthy as the weakest link, and what we do to others/earth, ultimately, we do to ourselves. Both religious leaders and scientists even say there is no separation of God/Human. That we are the literal forwarders of creation... the "body" and "mind" of "God".  Capable of destroying or creating depending on what we put our attention on. MicCheck (ahem, OccupyHope) thinks that idea is pretty darn COOL!




ELECTION TIME NOVEMBER 2012:

Rather then acquiescing to yet another (non)choice between one of two "Gold Plated President Elect's" who will be served to us on a "Gold Plated Platter", with a "Gold Plated Agenda", sold to us via their "Gold Plated Mainstream Media Outlets", WE, those who Represent the 99% are calling All Occupiers to present feasible, economical, "SOLID GOLD SOLUTIONS" to establishing a nation, and hopefully even a world, that works for all. Truly, to do so only requires a mere crumb from ALL of US combined.

Considering such, MicCheck is also about People NUMBERS. We ALL know we need a head count for our movement SO WE CAN KNOW FOR SURE IF:

1. There is enough of us to turn our system of governing inside out (direct/participatory democracy) and/or

2. If we do decide to pick a president (such as a “one party” or third party candidate) WE'LL KNOW that WE WILL WIN because we will all be on the same (web)page prior to the elections* stating that we're ALL GOING TO VOTE FOR “SO AND SO” TOGETHER. (This will also help us w/ our Mass Actions.)

*Realize FaceBook signed up over 100 million users in 9 months WITHOUT having a VITAL PURPOSE, nor having tens of thousands of people advocating for others to sign up, so we can EASILY sign up at least 150 million users in 9 months IF we make it happen, TOGETHER!




MicCheck.us has already begun sharing what we NEED TO KNOW and what we NEED TO DO to outwit the 1% via MicCheck's "Reality Check Videos" and MicCheck's listing of "Mass Action Events" on our homepage. These videos and events have been "cherry picked" from individuals and occupies across the nation. Thanks to all contributors!

We also have an email invitation ready to send out to approximately 15,000 people (thanks to one of our admins:) but we're waiting to send it. First we need to have a core of (30 or more) individuals committed to assisting MicCheck with all sorts of maintenance, moderation, connect the dots, etc. needs so we don't overwhelm ourselves with those who are potentially less informed / less capable of assisting. This is also why we're sending this invitation out last minute... so we can be sure to handle our numbers for tomorrow's GA. If you can't make the first GA, come to the next one, we're not going anywhere! :)

We're getting involved and taking charge TOGETHER. It's working but you need to show up and offer your time/skills too. As each new person shows up, a few more appear, and a little more gets done. Consistent baby steps will ensure our success! Keep taking them individually, as that is how we will see our COLLECTIVE results.

The good news… we only need a critical mass (perhaps a mere 10%) to turn this world around. So we can relax on any thought that 99% of us have to be on the same page in order for Real Change to happen. Thanks to US, Real Change IS Already Happening As Our Thoughts and Actions ULTIMATELY Determines OUR Future!

I know this will only post to the one list I am a member of: national-facilit...@googlegroups.com but I feel compelled to say that I was very unhappy to have received this email from Cynthia. Regardless of her intentions which most likely are good, it appears to promote a pet project of hers which may be known to others on these lists but is totally new to me. Its banner claims that the project is "The Social Network of the Occupy Wall St. movement," is written in a way that makes it sound official, it is totally non-transparent, and IMHO is an inappropriate post to these working group lists.

If I'm off the mark I apologize and would appreciate being edified. But regardless, from what I have learned about this project I am sad to say that its approach does not resemble that of OWS and I choose not to participate.

Hi Janet, (and others who choose to read along)

I hope you had an eventful or calming bringing in to the New Year :)  

I am sorry MicCheck's introduction to you was off putting.  I actually agree w/ you on the smaller caption beneath MicCheck's name. :)  There's even an error on the capitalization of the word "movement". I didn't really want to go "public" with it like that personally... but we haven't really gone "public" yet anyway.  All content is up for review between only those of us interlinked w/ google groups, interoccupy calls, and members already on MicCheck's site. :)

It's important to know the site was handed to three of it's members (myself, being one of them) who agreed to manage and maintain it for the rest of the community, because the originator of the site had to check out due to a serious personal matter. 

I actually asked for the psd (photoshop document) file of the header so we could change it, but it hasn't happened yet. He hasn't gotten back to us in a while so we're hoping he's okay.

Apologies that you haven't been made aware of MicCheck until now, and to any others who haven't, and might not find my sharing of it in this way appropriate.  I might be unaware of restrictions on sharing when we signed up for our groups, so if I was out of line, I do apologize. I'll be sure to find out if there are any such restrictions before I send something out again. :)

As far as the heading...  "The Social Network of The Occupy Movement"... I actually agree with you in consideration of the word "The"... (if that is your issue too :)  OH!  I just realized I can change the word "The" to "A" pretty easily w/o the psd file!  Which was my biggest issue with the sub heading as I felt saying "The Social Network" was a bit presumptuous and, "A Social Network" sits much better with me. Thanks for pulling that one out Janet! :)

And just so everyone knows... there are actually numerous sites claiming they are the social network/portal/hub, etc. of the occupy movement.  I don't mind it as I feel we need as much organizing as we can get right now.  I personally like "Social Network of the Occupy Wall Street Movement" because this is a Wall Street issue and also, this is where Occupy rose out of.  But the groovy thing is... we can actually decide on these things in a few hours as MicCheck is founded like our GA's in many ways... all "common areas", including "Reality Check Videos" & "Events" will be things we "all" agree on, or they're out.

Um... so I have a request Janet, and all of us actually... I'm wondering if next time anyone feels a need for clarification around something, we will all consider going directly to the source of that information before sharing with everyone else how we feel. 

Not that sharing is bad, but people's time (especially right now) is precious.  I actually prefer one on one phone calls rather then emailing, blogging, discussion boards, etc. because (IMHO) we need to ACT. All of us can get caught up REALLY FAST trying to make clear to multiple people to infinity out here, when only one person really needs to be addressed most of the time, unless, of course, we're working in our groups.

Does that make sense?  To everyone?  I hope so!  

I prefer actually chatting about this if we need to later rather then email responses. Janet, feel free to contact me directly via my phone number below... or anyone else for that matter. :)
