Advanced Facilitation Training will be more "Lecture" and less participatory. Advanced Training is for people who know the basic process and don't need it shown by example, and instead we will go over different advanced techniques, as well as make decisions about coordinating the Facilitation / GA Process calls, and train people how to train facilitators on calls as well as in person at GA's etc...
Lastly I want to make it really clear that the Facilitation Training/ GA Process Calls are NOT InterOccupy "IO" calls. We are independently autonomous and we have the ability to decide ourselves what we want to do and how we want to associate or not associate with other groups. For example, maybe we want to be Global in focus instead of National, in which case we may want to use a different service than Maestro for our calls which has access globally.
That doesn't mean that there aren't important IO calls that people should know about.
It is important for facilitators facilitating call on the Maestro system to get Training:
The IO Basic Maestro Training Class is specifically for learning the Maestro back end is on Every Wed Night at 6pm PST 9pm EST:
The IO Advanced Maestro Training Class also is available Every Friday Night at 6pm EST:
I am also pursuing the possibility of setting up a IO Basic Facilitation Training Class. This will give the basics of facilitating using the Maestro System, and be a crash course for people to jump into running conference calls and allow for flexibility, agenda creation, decision-making (as needed), Time keeping and Wrapping up meetings while having good next steps and tasks to that things don't fall through the cracks and people leave the meeting feeling as if it was productive.
Let me know if a class like that would be helpful.
Talk to you all soon,
Jay
