Occupy   Politics is a space to help connect the "Political Branch of the Movement", and does not and will not represent the Movement Itself.   The  http://www.OccupyPolitics.info   web portal will be a hub of links and information about all the direct   political voting box activities going on.  This portal will become a  hub  for all Politically related Activities including Candidates running  for  office in alliance with the Occupy Agenda, Ballot Measures, as  well as  Legislation, Constitutional Amendments & Conventions.   Basically  anything Occupy that relates to the Ballot box.

In  my understanding of our movement, the foundational principles are based  on attending to the basic needs of people and creating new systems that  empower us to meet our own needs, including participatory and direct  democracy through Local General Assemblies.

Simply  stated, the foundation of this movement is not a political agenda  within the traditional system of Representative Politics, voting,  candidates and Elections, but we do have many political activities that  interlace with the broader goals of the movement.

We  encourage all of you interested in political activities to get involved  and to even run for office from within the movement itself.
So  there are many discussion points, but our main goal is to get all the  people within the movement who are running for office, running ballot  measures, working on legislative bills, or planning constitutional  amendments to get together and collaborate on everything from collecting  signatures to calling representatives.

Lets start collaborating between all the big ballot box and legeslative activities in the movement.

Jay
