Request for Volunteers on Neutral Task Teams (Building Volunteer Core)

Dear Occupy Supporter,

We are building a Task Team Volunteer Core to support the movement and need your help.

How busy are you between 1-5?

If you are a 1-4, please consider signing up to volunteer for 1 hour a week or more, 1 hour every 2 weeks, 1 hour a month is fine too, just some type of set scheduled task work time.  

If you are a 5+, then we are here to build a volunteer core to support your work, and we will let you know when we are ready to collaborate with 5+ers, but for now, please keep doing your important work as best you can and we will let you know when we are ready to get you involved.

It is simple to get started, just reply back with your interest and we can get you plugged in slowly.

As we build the Task Team Volunteer Core for the Movement, we are asking movement supporters to sign up for 1 hour or more on a regularly set schedule.  You will schedule a single hour or more at the same time(s) every week, or every two weeks/month etc.  This work time will involve mundane repetitive computer tasks, but ones that are important and essential to get done for the movement.

What you are committing to, is to be connected by phone or computer for the time your scheduled with someone who is a 5+(very busy).  Most likely the time you commit to each week will include 10-15 minutes of silence and then we may ask each other a question about the work we are doing, and then have an other 10-15 minutes of silence.  This is not talk time, or meeting time, this is work time.  When training there may be more talking, but what we are looking for are people who can collaborate on a regular schedule to benifit the entire movement.

There is so much going on, and we are so involved in so many aspects of the movement, it is very important to get help making sure essencial needs are not falling through the cracks.  This includes email, phone calls, and doccuments that help set up Financal Trainings, Facilitation Trainings, Essential Tech Meetings, Fundraising, Political Activities, online assemblies in 5-15 different languages and much more.  We will be supporting any and all organizations within the movement, as we take a neutral perspective and acept any request for help.  You will see very quickly that the work we do together is as important as any other essencial work going on in local assemblies.
