Reforms (ADR) and Karnataka Election
Watch (KEW) had filed RTIs to the Karnataka Assembly Secretariat
asking for the information pertaining to the performance of the MLAs and the
Legislative Assembly. This report is based on information available on the website of
Karnataka Legislative Assembly and from the RTI responses received from
Karnataka Assembly Secretariat.
There are 224 seats in Karnataka Assembly, however this report also includes the analysis for the MLAs who have resigned or got elected through bye-elections.
Analysis of Number of Sittings in Each Session of Karnataka Legislative Assembly
- On an average, Karnataka State Assembly sat for 25 days per year.
- The longest session was the 12th session, from 14th February, 2022 to 30th March, 2022. It had 26 sittings.

Analysis of Bills Tabled and Bills Passed in Karnataka Legislative Assembly
- There were a total of 214 Bills tabled in the 15th Karnataka Assembly.
- Out of these 214 Bills, 202(94%) Bills were passed.
