Dear Friends,

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Jharkhand Election Watch have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of all 12 Ministers including Chief Minister from Jharkhand State Assembly Elections 2024.

 

The information is based on the affidavits submitted by the ministers prior to 2024 Jharkhand Assembly Elections.

Criminal Background

  • Ministers with Criminal Cases: Out of the 12 ministers analysed, 7 (58%) ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves. 
  • Ministers with Serious Criminal Cases: 5(42%) ministers have declared serious criminal cases against themselves.


Financial Background

  • Crorepati Ministers: Out of the 12 ministers analysed, all 12 (100%) are crorepatis.
  • Average Assets: The average assets of 12 ministers analysed is Rs 8.71 crores.
  • Minister with Highest Assets: The minister with the highest declared total assets is Sanjay Prasad Yadav from Godda constituency with assets worth Rs. 29.59 crores.
  • Minister with Lowest Assets: The minister with the lowest declared total assets is Hafizul Hassan from Madhupur constituency with assets worth Rs. 1.60 crores.
  • Liabilities: 10 ministers have declared liabilities out of which the minister with the highest liabilities is Sanjay Prasad Yadav of Godda constituency with Rs. 4.89 crores of liabilities.
