Dear Friends,

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Rajasthan Election Watch (REW) had filed RTI applications to the Rajasthan Assembly Secretariat asking for information pertaining to the performance of the MLAs and the Legislative Assembly. This report is based on information available on the website of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and from the RTI responses received from the Rajasthan Assembly Secretariat.


There are 200 seats in Rajasthan Assembly, however, this report also includes an analysis for the MLAs who have resigned or got elected through bye-elections.

Analysis of Number of Sittings in Each Session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly

  • On an average, Rajasthan State Assembly sat for 29 days per year.
  • The longest sessions were the 7th session (9th February, 2022 to 23rd September 2022) and 8th session (23rd January, 2023 to 2nd August, 2023). Both had 30 sittings.

Analysis of Bills Tabled and Bills Passed in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly

  • A total of 134 Bills were tabled in the 15th Rajasthan Assembly.
  • Out of these 134 Bills, 126(94%) Bills were passed.
  • 2 Bills were withdrawn and there was no discussion on 6 Bills.
