Dear Friends,

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Rajasthan Election Watch have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of 173 re-contesting MLAs in the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023. Out of the 173 re-contesting MLAs, assets of 161 MLAs (93%) have increased ranging from 1% to 19990% and assets of 12 MLAs (7%) have decreased ranging from -1% to -57%.

  • Average Assets in 2018 Elections: The average assets of these 173 re-contesting MLAs fielded by various parties including independents in 2018 was Rs 7.10 Crores.
  • Average Assets in 2023 Elections: The average asset of these 173 re-contesting MLAs in 2023 is Rs 9.97 Crores.
  • Average Asset growth in 5 years (2018-2023): The average asset growth for these 173 re- contesting MLAs, between the Rajasthan Assembly Elections of 2018 and 2023 is Rs 2.86 Crores.
  • Percentage growth in 5 years (2018-2023): Average percentage growth in assets for these 173 re-contesting MLAs is 40%.

Top 5 Re-contesting MLAs with highest asset increase (Rupee-wise)


  • Siddhi Kumari of BJP from Bikaner East constituency has declared maximum increase in assets with an increase of Rs 97.61 Crores i.e from Rs 4.66 Crores in 2018 to Rs. 102.27 Crores in 2023.
  • Assets of Pramod Jain of INC from Anta constituency have increased by Rs 29.17 Crores, from Rs 27.31 Crores in 2018 to Rs 56.49 Crores in 2023.
  • Assets of Ramkesh of INC from Gangapur constituency have risen by Rs 23.68 Crores, from Rs 39.96 Crores in 2018 to Rs 63.64 Crores in 2023
