Dear Friends,

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Maharashtra Election Watch have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of all 42 Ministers including Chief Minister from Maharashtra State Assembly Elections 2024.

The information is based on the affidavits submitted by the ministers prior to 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections and Maharashtra legislative council elections.

Criminal Background

Ministers with Criminal Cases: Out of the 42 ministers analysed, 26 (62%) ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves.

Ministers with Serious Criminal Cases: 17(40%) ministers have declared serious criminal cases against themselves.

Minister with Highest Assets: The minister with the highest declared total assets is Mangal Prabhat Lodha from Malabar Hill constituency with assets worth Rs. 447.09 crores.

Minister with Lowest Assets: The minister with the lowest declared total assets is Abitkar Prakash Anandrao from Radhanagari constituency with assets worth Rs. 1.60 crores.
