I am going to be out of Des Moines most of the month (See my Sept schedule below). My absence means someone will need to cook and prepare 3 pm meals for Tuesday and Thursday, above and beyond what the community already cooks.

We are also very low on live in community memnbers which makes the need for more voulantrteers sidgning up to do shifts, all the more important.

Show up. Do a shift or 1/2 a shift; washing dishes, helping out in the 'Store Room', serving people food or just listening to a guest's story.. There is always something to do when Dingman House is Open. And right now we are very low on community members ...

Weekly Open House Schedule @ Dingman House 1310 7th St
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. - meals @ 3 and 6 p.m.
Sat. noon to 2 p.m. Noon meal
Sunday 4:30 to 7 p.m. 6 p.m. meal.

For more info or schedule a meal or shift contact DMCW'ers:

Yes.. My hoped for trip to Honduras to visit Nichole and Alexander and 3 (now 4) kids is going to happen. I am also planning to visit El Salvador to deliver Rev Bob Cook's ashes to the people and communities he served. More on this later....

For now, you all need to know we could use some extra help at the DMCW this Sept
