SC-2345 + 6062E

I have a Sc-2345 and a 6062E installed in a laptop with 7.0 (student) and Measurement version 4.1. MAX is 7.4
 
I can configure virtual channels for my TC02 and ACC01 and with some job, adquired data after create  a VI. I am just wondering why cann't I use the DAQ assistant with this DAQ?
Is there a way to convert this traditional to DAQmx? On the Measurement there is convertion function but cannt convert this particular DAQ.
 
If I try to create a new device under DEVICES AND INTERFASES my SC-2345 appears under DAQmx devices and I can select it, but when the configure windows appears, there is no way to select DAQ and only options to select the devices I have in my SC-2345.
 
I am guessing by now, that the DAQ + SC I am using are not compatible for DAQmx enviroment.

The 6062E is definitely supported with DAQmx and you should be able to configure it with the SC-2345.
Does the DAQCard-6062E appear under Devices and Interfaces>>NI-DAQmx Devices?  It should.  If it doesn't and it does show up under Traditional NI-DAQ, you might have an installation problem.  Try upgrading to the most recent version of NI-DAQ:

Thanks all for reply. The help links I have seen them before, but somehow are not as helpful as should be.

I have tried to configure SC-2345 as DAQmx device, but when the window to configure the SC-2345 appears, I can modify all the fields, excepte select the DAQ. On the DAQ selection field appears a None option only.

Now, I downloaded the last version of drivers (8.5) but during instalation it says that my MAX was already updated (4.2) and that some features applies only for LV 7.1 or 8.5 and mine is 7.0 (student). As of today, I have no way to create my 6062E as DAQmx, but no sure if that is because of the DAQ version. Is it?

I agree that if 6062E is compatible as DAQmx and I cann't install it that means I have instalation problems, but I would need a detailed procedure on how to do so.

As of today, DAQ-6062E is only visible as Traditional or legacy DAQ.

The following procedure will remove National Instrument Software:

- Turn off the computer and physically remove or unplug all NI hardware that you have installed on your system. This includes anything that is PCI-, ISA-, USB-, 1394-, or Ethernet-based.
- Turn the computer on and go through Add/Remove Programs (START » SETTINGS » CONTROL PANEL » Add/Remove Programs) and remove everything NI-related. Generally, if you can remember, it is best to uninstall things in the reverse order in which they were installed. For example, if you installed LabVIEW, then NI-DAQ, and then the Internet Developers Toolkit for LabVIEW, you should uninstall the Internet Developers Toolkit first, then NI-DAQ, and then LabVIEW last.
- After everything has been removed (do not be concerned at this point if an item still shows up in the Add/Remove Programs list after you have removed it), close all programs and restart your computer.
- Go to START button of your operating system, choose RUN and type "regedit". This will open the Registry Editor window. Go to the Registry Menu and choose Export Registry File. Select "All" for the export range, and select a file name. This creates a backup of the Registry in case a mistake is made when deleting the keys.
- Remove the following registry components from the Windows Registry:

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\National Instruments Delete the entire tree!
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ , \ISA, or \PCMCIA and delete registry entries containing any keys with 1093 in them.
Do not worry if any of these trees are not listed. Continue with the remainder of the process.Note: You may need to modify security policies. In Windows 2000/98/95/NT, go to [regedt32] then Security&gt;&gt; Permissions. In Windows XP you can modify security options using Edit&gt;&gt; Permissions in the Registry Editor (regedit).
- Close regedit.
- Make sure that you do not have any of your own VIs or other files saved in the "C:\VXIpnp", "C:\Program Files\National Instruments", or "C:\WINDOWS\nidaq" folders. If you do, copy them to a different location. If you are concerned about keeping old virtual channels and your SCXI setup intact, then backup the "C:\WINDOWS\niconfig.daq" file, too. Delete all folders and files mentioned above. Note: If you have Windows NT/2000, replace "C:\Windows" with "C:\WINNT" in the paths listed above.

- Download NI-DAQ 8.1 (Last version to support LabVIEW 7.0)

- Install LabVIEW SE

- Install NI-DAQmx 8.1

- Finally, shut down and re-install your hardware. When you boot back up, it should be detected in MAX under NI-DAQmx Devices.

After this process, you should be able to configure the SC-2345 with the 6062E.
