Hello Sampan, The reason that a PXI-1042 would be Flashing Red is due to the power supply outputs not being within the voltage regulation requirements. In this case, the chassis will still power on and function correctly.
However, electronics present in the chassis may be affected by the
outputs being out of specification. You should try removing all of the cards from the chassis except for the Embedded Controller or MXI card, and moving the chassis to another outlet which is on a different physical circuit.
