Hi

Facts:
i have third party program that use the old PCI flex motion 6C card to control 3 motors

i have no access to the source code only exe running with LV RT 6.0.2   6.1 and 7

i want to duplicate the controller PC with the flex motion 6C card

Questions:
1. can i buy flex motion 6C card ?

2. if not can we skeep the SW changes with other card and do only HW changes needed ?

3. if not and i will be able to get the source how dificult will it to convert it in LV 8.5 or 8.5.1 ?

thanks,

Jochen

- The FlexMotion 6C is obsolete for many years now, so you can't order it anymore. Still you might ask your local NI branch, if they have access to an old board (maybe in their loaner pool). On the other hand this wouldn't be a new board, but a used one and I don't know it that's the way to go for you. At NI Germany we don't have such a board anymore.
- You could give it a try, but I wouldn't count on that.
- Updating LabVIEW code from LabVIEW 6.x to 8.x shouldn't be too hard, but it's hard to give a general answer for that. I wouldn't expect major issues with the motion part, but as I don't know the rest of the application, I don't want to sound too promising.
There is a little chance, that you could use your code without modifications, but upgrading to a newer version of LabVIEW should be your alternative plan.Jochen
