First, you posted to the Measure forum. Measure is old product from NI. It is an add-in to Excel. You should post questions about LabVIEW to the <a href="
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=170" target="_blank">LabVIEW board</a>, questions about DAQ to the <a href="
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=250" target="_blank">Multifunction DAQ board</a>, and if you want to use Signal Express, use the <a href="
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=380" target="_blank">Signal Express Board</a>.
In your case, since you have LabVIEW, you don't need to use Signal Express. You would use Signal Express instead of LabVIEW. The simplest thing for you to use in LabVIEW is the DAQ Assistant. It's on your Measurement I/O>DAQmx palette. Put in on your block diagram and a wizard will pop-up that will walk you through the process of acquiring and writing data.
You mention a 'data byte'. Bytes usually refer to digital read/writes.
p.s. In the future, when you do post new questions to the correct board, try to use a more descriptive subject than just 'Post new thread'.Message Edited by Dennis Knutson on 11-09-2007 06:23 AM
