pda-update while typing of a control

I search a possibility to recognize, if the content of a string
control is changed, while the control is activated and and new
characters are inputed.
Under Labview for windows it exists the property "update while
typing", but I have to create a VI for a PDA device.
Without this property new inputs are recognized until the activation
of the control is ended.
The proberty isn't supported by LabView for pda.
