Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to control a heater using a solid state
relay and the PID VI's supplied with LabVIEW.

So far I learned I will need to use PWM to convert the PID output to a
suitable format for the relay switched heater.

I am using a compact field Fieldpoint which contains a DO-403 module and
I do not have the means to buy an extra PWM module.

Is it still possible to do these things?

You could also use burst firing with thyristors.

Sadly enough I do not have the means to buy any new components.

It would really have to consist of the DO-403 module en some way to
generate a stable pulse train using standard VI's.
