Time series visualizations require time series data; that is a sequence of measurements, ordered in time, where every row in the table represents one individual measurement at a specific time. Learn more about time series data.


You can link alert rules to time series visualizations to observe when alerts fire and are resolved in the form of annotations. In addition, you can create alert rules from the Alert tab within the panel editor.


In some cases, you may want to display multiple y-axes. For example, if you have a dataset showing both temperature and humidity over time, you may want to show two y-axes with different units for these two series.


The following example shows three series: Min, Max, and Value. The Min and Max series have Line width set to 0. Max has a Fill below to override set to Min, which fills the area between Max and Min with the Max line color.


In the Panel options section of the panel editor pane, you set basic options like the panel title and description. You can also configure repeating panels in this section. To learn more, refer to Configure panel options.


When you set the Tooltip mode to All, the Values sort order option is displayed. This option controls the order in which values are listed in a tooltip. Choose from the following:


Options under the axis category change how the x- and y-axes are rendered. Some options do not take effect until you click outside of the field option box you are editing. You can also or press Enter.


Choose how null values, which are gaps in the data, appear on the graph. Null values can be connected to form a continuous line or set to a threshold above which gaps in the data are no longer connected.


Stacking allows Grafana to display series on top of each other. Be cautious when using stacking in the visualization as it can easily create misleading graphs. To read more about why stacking might not be the best approach, refer to The issue with stacking.


Set the position of the bar relative to a data point. In the examples below, Show points is set to Always which makes it easier to see the difference this setting makes. The points do not change; the bars change in relationship to the points.


Standard options in the panel editor pane let you change how field data is displayed in your visualizations. When you set a standard option, the change is applied to all fields or series. For more granular control over the display of fields, refer to Configure overrides.


Data links allow you to link to other panels, dashboards, and external resources while maintaining the context of the source panel. You can create links that include the series name or even the value under the cursor.


Overrides allow you to customize visualization settings for specific fields or series. When you add an override rule, it targets a particular set of fields and lets you define multiple options for how that field is displayed.

The Dv4 and Ddv4 virtual machines are based on a custom Intel Xeon Platinum 8272CL processor, which runs at a base speed of 2.5Ghz and can achieve up to 3.4Ghz all core turbo frequency. The Dd v4 virtual machine sizes feature fast, large local SSD storage (up to 2,400 GiB) and are well suited for applications that benefit from low latency, high-speed local storage. The Dv4 virtual machine sizes do not have any temporary storage.


The Dv5 and Ddv5 series virtual machines feature the 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Platinum 8370C (Ice Lake) processor in a hyper-threaded configuration. They can scale up to 96 vCPUs with configurations similar to the Dv4 and Ddv4 series VMs.


The Dpsv5 and Dpdsv5 VM series feature the Ampere Altra 64-bit Multi-Core Arm-based processor operating at up to 3.0GHz frequency. The Ampere Altra processor was engineered for scale-out cloud environments and can deliver efficient performance to reduce overall environmental impact. The Dplsv5 and Dpldsv5 VM sizes offer one of the lowest price points of entry within the general-purpose Azure Virtual Machines portfolio, and provide 2GiBs per vCPU delivering a compelling value proposition for many general-purpose Linux workloads that do not require larger amounts of RAM per vCPU.


Example workloads include many enterprise-grade applications, e-commerce systems, web front ends, desktop virtualization solutions, customer relationship management applications, entry-level and mid-range databases, application servers, gaming servers, media servers, and more...


The E-series Azure VMs are optimized for heavy in-memory applications such as SAP HANA. These VMs are configured with high memory-to-core ratios, which makes them well-suited for memory-intensive enterprise applications, large relational database servers, in-memory analytics workloads etc.


The Ev4 and Edv4 VMs are based on a custom Intel Xeon Platinum 8272CL processor, which runs at a base speed of 2.5Ghz and can achieve up to 3.4Ghz all core turbo frequency. The Edv4 also include a fast and large local SSD storage (up to 2,400 GiB) to run applications that benefit from low latency, high-speed local storage.
