Iam from Hanafi madhab and have been praying witr as three rakat, in which the 3rd rakat has an additional takbeer+qunoot. Some hadiths narrate a different way of praying. Pls guide as to which Hadith is the basis for Hanafi witr

There are many authentic and strong hadiths that establish the method of the Witr prayer according to the Hanafi school of thought. However, no one prophetic hadith explicitly lays out the exact method, so different aspects of it must be extracted from various narrations.

There is a difference of opinion on the method of performing the Witr prayer after Isha among the legal schools of thought. These differences are based on how different Companions described the Witr prayer and how various scholars interpreted the hadiths they narrated.

The Hanafi school says that three rakats are necessary, with a sitting at the end of the second rakat, and then rising to complete a third rakat with the Fatiha and an extra sura, then an extra takbir and a dua of Qunut before going into Ruku, till the end of the prayer.

Finally, while this is the proof for the Hanafi opinion, we should remember that the other schools of thought also have valid interpretations of the hadiths which support their preferred methods of performing Witr.

But it is the Sunnah or mustahabb (recommended) to recite the Qunoot during Witr based off the hadith. [4]What is the Qunoot Dua In Arabic:Narrated by Al-Hasan ibn Ali (who is the grandson of Muhammad (ﷺ)) he said he was taught by the Prophet (ﷺ) to say the qunoot dua in Arabic as follows: [5]

Meaning: O Allah! We invoke you for help, and beg for forgiveness, and we believe in you and have trust in you and we praise you, in the best way we can; and we thank you and we are not ungrateful to you, and we forsake and turn away from the one who disobeys you. O Allah! We worship you and prostrate ourselves before you, and we hasten towards you and serve you, and we hope to receive your mercy and we dread your torment. Surely, the disbelievers shall incur your torment.

Can I know more about the good health, like what we have to recite and follow to be healthy all the time. As long the good health is there we can do more and more Ibadah and can provide service to our Muslim brothers and sisters, family and Ummah.

(1) We have to be thankful to Allah for what we have, our bodies and our mind. Alhamdulillah we are blessed and things could always be worse. (2) To remain healthy there is ownness on ourselves to exercise (walking, running, swimming, biking, going to gym) and getting enough sleep and eating well.

I found it as part of a longer du'a al-Qunoot in al-Mosannaf 'Abdurazzaq (see here in Arabic) مصنف عبد الرزاق as a hadith mawquf حديث موقوف (so it was a doing of 'Omar ibn al-Khattab), according the rawy 'Obayd ibn 'Omayr عُبَيْدَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ, 'Omar used to do this qunoot loudly in the second rak'a of sobh (fajr fard prayer!). The completion is what I've already quoted in my answer on Was Dua-e-Qunut part of the Quran earlier? (with Basmallah at the beginning of each the so called surat al-Khal'a and al-Hafd)

Note that al-Bayhaqi has quoted the same in his as-Sunan al-Kubra السنن الكبرى with the addition of "'Allahuma Ighfir lana اللهم اغفر لنا" (O Allah forgive us!) at the beginning (see here in Arabic).

Dua in Islam is a prayer and supplication, all your senses, feelings, and thoughts are directed to god almighty, and dua qunoot is a particular supplication that the prophet Peace be upon him, performed and his companions did.

dua qanoot has more than one form narrated from the prophet PBUH, and all of them are true, in addition to those forms, imam can also increase statements that include the incidents and calamities that have befallen our nation.

During our talking about dua qunoot via this article, we will recognize that the prophet PBUH performed it in calamities and misfortunes, and also it was aligned with al witr salah, this is a sign of the great status and value of the dua kanoot for Muslims.

Finally, dua kanoot is defined in Islamic terminology, as a particular supplication that was legalized at a particular time and prayer, in a particular form, and in a particular place in the prayer( the last rakaah).

As we previously mentioned, the different conjugations of the Arabic word qunut were mentioned in Quran. Qanitan which means the devoted obedient, qaniteen, and qanitat which means the obedient men and women, but duas for qunoot formula were mentioned only in the authentic Sunnah.

O God, it is You we worship, and to You, we pray and prostrate, and to You, we seek and strive, and we hope for Your mercy, our Lord, and we fear Your grave punishment. Your torment is attached to the infidels.

If there is a position that a prayer would be answered, this is that position. Here is the greatness of the Creator, and the weakness of the creature is revealed, here we turn to Allah with our weakness, complaining to Him about the injustice of the oppressors and the betrayal of the traitors.

Praise be to God, He afflicts the believers with the unbelievers, and the reward of the doers of good is not lost. Here the treachery of the unbelievers is manifested and the surrender of the companions to the martyrdom is revealed, the death for the sake of Allah is the greatest goal and wish.

O Allah, guide me with those whom You have guided and grant me wellbeing with those whom You have granted wellbeing. Take me to Your care with those whom You have taken to Your care. Bless me for what You have given me. Protect me from the evil You have ordained.

Surely, You hold the command and are not commanded, and none whom You have committed to Your care shall be humiliated. And none whom You have taken as an enemy shall taste glory. You are blessed, Our Lord, and Exalted. All I praise is upon You for what You decide.
