Dear Valued Members and Partners:

After receiving information about the meeting of three commissions of national assembly, a group of CSOs have come together quickly and agreed the following strategies:

 

·         Open letter from CSO on key principles to be used to guide the LANGO and it will be shared to all members for their endorsement and get support from all endorsees (350 NGOs/Associations) by 12pm of 2 July and then it will be sent to National Assembly and press around 2:30pm the same date

·         A briefing meeting with DPs on Monday 6 July from 2:00-3:30pm about CSO's strategies and position

·         Seek key interventions from international community including TI, CIVICUS, Amnesty International, Forum Asia, OMCT, Freedom House, ICNL, Oxfam, CIDSE, etc....

·         A consultation on 7 July 2015 from 8-12am, at Cambodiana hotel. At the meeting there will be a press conference

·         CSO's participation in 8 July consultation. The people who will participate in the meeting will speak on key principles, on key concerns and key alternative provisions of the LANGO

·         A press conference after the 8 July consultation finished and there might have protests if the concerns and inputs of CSOs were not use to change the contents in the current draft law

·         More strategies will be shared after the meetings tomorrow, 2 July 2015 (10:30am at CCC with small group and 2:00pm at Solidarity House)

 

PS: CNRP Members Parliament invited CSO representatives to meet at the National Assembly at 2:30pm (CCC is in the process of negotiation on the meeting time)
