Finished just under the wire

I finished my album at 11:58 on 11/30/08. I won't have time to post it
yet, but I will be putting it up on my soundclick page on Wednesday
(www.soundclick.com/famouspatrick). I will leave it there until the
end of the year, then take it down and republish the more polish
versions of the keepers.

It was a real challenge, as I usually take 6 months to a year to write
and record a song. I learned that a quickly but intensely written song
can be just as good as one that takes a year. I also learned that I
have got to practice my rock lead playing more. I have been playing
solo acoustic guitar for the last 15 years or so, and my lead playing,
never outstanding, has suffered. I think that I can go back and
salvage 6 of the 7 songs I wrote, so a pretty good thing.

Thanks for the inspiration. I'll probably try again next year.
