Enscape still renders in realtime, while Lumion has increasingly become like a traditional offline renderer (albeit a very fast one), taking multiple seconds to render a single image. With Enscape, what you see is what you get. With Lumion, what you see is a rough preview with poor GI and simplified geometry - not exactly realtime (which is quite ironic given that Lumion was the original realtime vizualization tool ). To be fair, images still take around the same time to render in Lumion as they always have, it's just that rather than increase speed (which might have allowed them to support things like VR which they've so far eschewed), they chose to increase the rendering quality instead (in an effort to reach the same visual quality as V-ray etc). Afterall, their biggest knock has always been the cartoonish visuals.
You can't have everything in life afterall, so developers have to choose how to balance speed and quality. Increase one, and you reduce the other. While Lumion was getting prettier, traditional render engines like V-ray have gotten much faster thanks to powerful graphics cards and things like AI denoising. The way things are heading, they'll converge at some point.
Also the amount of detail the users adds. I could have added real 3d peeps, but didn't have enough time to populate. One last thing...The lumion animation you showed did't take like 20 min to render. It took them hours since you need to add a lot of effects that are render hogs.
I've rendered the following videos at 3 star quality on lumion, HD. The final walkthrough animations however come out with a lot of grain, or some sort of fuzziness especially for interior shots. What can I do to tackle this? Links to the two videos are pasted below:
Yeah, the trade off is always noise for time. The less noise you want, the more time it will take the render. Some off the issues look like you are using too strong of a sharpening filter, especially on the couch shots in the 2nd animation.
I would recommend to just render at max quality and output a larger image to give better pixel size to render. For instance if your final output is HD then render 1440 or 4K then reduce the size in post to HD. I am not a fan of any sharpening filter in any software really.

If they know the client will be coming into their office to view the movie, they'll use the settings for 60 frames per second and Ultra HD, but only because they have 4k monitors and TVs in the office. If you don't have a 4k TV to view the movie on, you can just stay at 30 frames per second and 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Answer: You can download DaVinci Resolve 16 for free from the Black Magic website. The free version should be sufficient for Lumion rendering. DaVinci is extremely advantageous because it brings all the capability into one platform that you'd need several Adobe platforms to use. Also, they find it to be the best platform for color grading.
